Use Case

Your CRM is full. Here is who to call first.

Many businesses hold hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of records in their CRM — companies they have quoted, spoken to, or logged over years of activity. Almost none of it is prioritised.

You already know thousands of companies. The problem is knowing which ones matter today. Growth Assist combines what is already in your CRM with new research and evidence to answer that question.

The problem

What usually gets in the way.

A large CRM is an asset in theory and a burden in practice. Records accumulate from years of enquiries, past quotes, trade show contacts and abandoned deals, but there is rarely a mechanism for deciding which of them deserve attention this quarter.

Sales teams default to working the newest leads or the accounts they already know personally, leaving the bulk of the database untouched. Meanwhile, some of those dormant records sit on genuine opportunities — a company that wasn't ready two years ago may well be ready now, but nothing in the CRM tells anyone that.

Growth Assist treats your CRM as a starting dataset, not a dead archive. We combine existing fields — company name, past notes, historic activity — with new commercial data and evidence to identify which records deserve attention now.

  • Large CRM databases with no meaningful prioritisation
  • Sales defaults to newest leads, ignoring the majority of records
  • Historic notes and past conversations are never revisited
  • No mechanism for knowing which dormant accounts have changed
  • Data quality varies wildly across older records

What we look for

The characteristics that matter here.

  • CRM records with incomplete or outdated company information
  • Accounts previously marked as "not ready" or lost
  • Historic notes referencing a specific objection or timing issue
  • Companies that have since shown new evidence of change
  • Duplicate or fragmented records masking a larger opportunity
  • Accounts with no logged activity for an extended period
  • Segments of the CRM matching your current ICP that were never worked

Relevant evidence

What we check, and where it comes from.

Verified evidence is supported by an identifiable source. Anything beyond that is recorded as inference — a hypothesis, clearly labelled as one.

Existing CRM data

  • Historic notes and call logs
  • Past quotes and proposal status
  • Original enquiry source and date
  • Any recorded objection or reason lost

Fresh commercial data

  • Current company size and structure
  • Site and location changes
  • Leadership changes since the record was created
  • Sector and classification updates

New evidence

  • Recent recruitment activity
  • Planning applications or expansion
  • News coverage or public statements
  • Technology or contract timing signals

How we approach it

The work we do on your behalf.

01

Ingest and understand the CRM export

We work from an export of the relevant CRM records, understanding what has already been tried and what is known.

02

Cross-reference against commercial data

Every record is checked against up-to-date company data to correct, enrich and flag what has changed since it was last touched.

03

Identify new evidence

Records are checked for new verified evidence and reasonable inference indicating the account is worth revisiting.

04

Apply the priority formula

FIT + EVIDENCE + TIMING = PRIORITY, applied across the full CRM segment rather than a hand-picked subset.

05

Deliver a worked list

A prioritised, evidenced list is delivered through the Sales Intelligence Workspace, ready for outreach rather than further research.

Illustrative example

How this looks in practice.

The following is an illustrative, fictional example, not a real client account.

A CRM contains a record for a professional services firm logged three years earlier after an enquiry that went nowhere. On review, the firm's headcount has grown by over a fifth, two senior hires have been announced, and a property agent has been instructed on comparable office space.

The original note said the firm "wasn't ready." The new evidence suggests that has changed, and the record is surfaced for a fresh approach rather than left at the bottom of an unsorted database.

Examples shown are illustrative and use fictional companies and information to demonstrate how Growth Assist Sales Intelligence works.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do we need to clean our CRM before sending it to you?

No. Part of the process is identifying data quality issues and correcting what we can against current commercial data.

Can you work with a subset of our CRM rather than the whole database?

Yes. Most engagements start with a defined segment — a territory, product line or record age band — rather than the entire database.

What if a record has no useful history in it?

It's still assessed against current evidence and fit criteria. Historic notes add context where they exist, but aren't required to prioritise a record.

Will this integrate with our CRM directly?

We work from exports and deliver through the Sales Intelligence Workspace. This is a research service, not a piece of software you install.

How do you handle very old or lost opportunities?

They're assessed the same way as any other record — for current fit, current evidence and current timing — not treated differently because they're old.
